All of the answers here are great. I’d like to add one thing. When Boeing (or any aircraft manufacturer) creates a new aircraft, they have to test it very rigorously before the FAA says they will certify it, in order to begin selling it for produc. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued an emergency airworthiness directive (AD), warning Boeing 777-300ER powered by GE engines of a potentially unsafe condition affecting the power plants. This is the second emergency AD, which follows an uncontained engine fire incident back in October 2019. Innovative Passenger Airplane: The Boeing 777-200ER. Avionics: Honeywell Avionics Engine: 2x Pratt and Whitney PW 4090 or Rolls-Royce Trent 895 or GE GE90-94B. The two main passenger versions are the Boeing 777 200 and the Boeing 777 300 variants. Although their air-frame measurements such as wingspan, wheel track and tailplane are the same, the major difference is the fuselage length. The Boeing 777 300 is significantly longer than the Boeing 777 200 by 10 metres.
